Scanners

If you have an awesome manga you can scan, and it's not currently being scanlated, feel free to contact us to give the raws

Translators

No prior experience needed. Translators do not need to be familiar with Photoshop. Translations are done in notepad/word to be passed on to the editors.

If you're interested in becoming a Japanese, Chinese or Korean Translator for VK Scans, please submit a short application with the following information:

Your Name
Your Email Address
Your Forum Username
Fluency in Japanese/Chinese/Korean
Past Experience with Translating or Scanlating (list groups and length of time)
Text file with English translations of the translation test if you're applying for Japanese

VK Scans Japanese Translator Test

There are 4 raw pages in this file. Please translate all text, including sfx if possible. You can just put your translations in a .txt file and include it in your application.

The first page is from Kagen no Tsuki, a shoujo manga. This is pretty standard language so it shouldn't be too hard.

The second page is from Ouran Koukou Host Club, another shoujo manga. There is still furigana but it's a little more difficult from page 1.

The third page is from xxxHOLiC, yet another shoujo manga. This one is pretty difficult since it has no furigana. Try your best!

The last page is from Claymore, a shounen manga. Don't get fooled by the furigana, this series can get hard to translate.

Editors

Contact Kaori at the forum and send the completed Editor's Test. Editors do not need to know the original language.
